Search is not a list of blue links anymore. People now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews a question and get one clear answer. If your brand is not inside that answer, the buyer may never see you.

That is why GEO services have become a real budget line for marketing teams this year. GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. In simple words, it is the work of making your brand easy for AI tools to find, trust and quote.

The problem is choosing who to hire. Search for the best GEO agencies and you will find many lists. Most are written by agencies that put themselves at number one. So in this guide we do three things. We compare 12 agencies using public information. We show you where each one is strong and where you should ask more questions. And we give you a simple checklist so you can judge any agency yourself.

What Are GEO Services?

GEO services help your brand appear in answers written by AI tools. Classic SEO tries to rank a page in a list of results. GEO tries to get your brand named, quoted or linked inside the answer itself.

A good GEO package usually covers these parts:

AI visibility audit: Checking where your brand shows up today in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews.

Prompt mapping: Listing the real questions your buyers ask AI tools, then matching them to your pages. Go Fish Digital lists prompt mapping as a core part of its GEO method.

Content upgrades: Adding clear facts, named sources and expert quotes to your pages.

Structured data: Schema markup and clean page structure so machines can read your content. Agencies such as Perrill list schema and semantic HTML in their GEO work (Source: Go Fish Digital).

Brand mentions and digital PR: AI tools lean on what the wider web says about you, not just your own site.

Tracking and reporting: Dashboards that show citations, mentions and impressions from AI engines. Directive offers this in its GEO programs.

GEO does not replace SEO, It sits on top of it. A guide from Mekaa makes the same point, and our own experience agrees. If your basic SEO services are weak, GEO will not fix that.

Why GEO Services Matter in 2026?

Here is the data that explains the shift. We have kept it short and tied each number to its source.

Fewer clicks when AI answers: Pew Research Center tracked 68,879 real Google searches from 900 US adults. People clicked a normal result in 8% of visits when an AI summary appeared, compared with 15% when it did not (Source: Pew Research Center, July 2025).

Almost nobody clicks inside the AI box: In the same Pew study, only 1% of visits included a click on a link inside the AI summary.

Zero-click is now the norm: Similarweb puts the 2026 zero-click rate at 68.01% of searches (Source: Similarweb clickstream panel).

AI use keeps growing: Similarweb also reports that visits to AI platforms grew 76% year over year worldwide in the second half of 2025, even though referrals from those platforms stayed flat. This means brand mentions can matter even when clicks do not follow.

Search volume pressure: Gartner predicted a 25% drop in traditional search engine volume by 2026 as users move to AI chatbots (Source: Gartner, as reported by TripleDart).

The good news is that GEO can be influenced. The Princeton, Georgia Tech, Allen Institute for AI and IIT Delhi paper "GEO: Generative Engine Optimization" found that adding relevant statistics, quotations and citations can lift visibility in AI answers by up to 40% (Source: Search Engine Land, reporting on the paper). The same research found that the Cite Sources method raised visibility by 115.1% for sites ranked fifth in classic results, while the top ranked site lost 30.3% on average. So lower ranked brands have a real chance here.

One honest warning. That 40% figure comes from a controlled study. It is not a promise for every brand (Source: Neuroflash). Be careful with any agency that guarantees citations.

How We Picked These GEO Agencies?

We looked at what each agency says publicly, what third party review sites show, and how often independent lists mention them. We checked these points:

  • A clear GEO offer, not just a new line added to an old SEO page.
  • Coverage across more than one AI platform.
  • Proof of results, such as case studies, client names or review scores.
  • Reporting that goes beyond rankings.
  • A pricing signal, so you can plan a budget before the first call.

Two notes before the list. First, we could not test every agency from the inside, so some facts come from the agency's own site and are marked that way. Second, Traficxo is placed first because it combines GEO, SEO services, PPC services and video in one India-based team at a lower price point. Treat the order as a starting point and use the checklist later in this guide to confirm the fit.

The 12 Best GEO Agencies of 2026

1. Traficxo

Best for: Brands that want GEO services, SEO, PPC and video handled by one team.

Traficxo is a Digital Marketing Agency based in Noida, India. Its website describes work in technical SEO audits, performance marketing, video production and web development for B2B and ecommerce brands. A RocketReach profile of the company says it also optimizes brands for ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity through Generative Engine Optimization.

As an SEO Company in India that serves clients in the US, UK, Australia, UAE and Europe, Traficxo pitches a cost advantage. Its SEO page claims its India-based team costs 40 to 60 percent less than top US and UK agencies (Source: Traficxo website, an agency claim we have not tested). On GoodFirms, the agency is listed at $25 to $49 per hour with a team of 2 to 9 people.

What we like is the range under one roof. You can run GEO next to PPC services for paid traffic, plus Video Services for cinematic brand and social content. That helps with Growth Optimization because search, ads and creative can be planned together instead of in three separate contracts.

Good to know: It is a small team. Ask who will own your account and how many clients they take on at one time.

2. First Page Sage

Best for: Enterprise brands that want authority and executive thought leadership in AI answers.

First Page Sage is a San Francisco agency that describes itself as a GEO pioneer since 2023. Its approach leans on expert-led content, because AI tools tend to quote content that carries a named expert voice (Source: GenOptima ranking, StreetInsider). The same ranking lists pricing from $6,000 per month, which is a useful budget signal.

Good to know: The price point suits larger teams more than small businesses.

3. Graphite

Best for: Mid-market SaaS companies that need GEO at scale.

Graphite is a San Francisco, AI-powered growth agency. It offers programmatic content production and one view of performance across classic search and generative models (Source: GenOptima ranking, StreetInsider). Several independent lists, including one from Digital Elevator, place it among the full-service GEO options.

Good to know: Programmatic content needs strong editing. Ask how they keep quality high when output is large.

4. Directive

Best for: Enterprise B2B and SaaS brands that want GEO tied to pipeline.

Directive is a performance marketing agency headquartered in Irvine, California. A SalesHive review says it was founded in 2014, has more than 200 employees and has served more than 420 brands. Its GEO page promises dashboards that track citations, impressions and engagement from AI engines. It holds a 4.8 rating on Clutch from 56 reviews (Source: Rock the Rankings).

Because Directive also runs paid media and video production, it can combine GEO with PPC services under one plan.

Good to know: Rock the Rankings notes it is not exclusively focused on GEO. It is a full-service shop.

5. iPullRank

Best for: Large or complex websites that need deep technical work.

iPullRank leans on information retrieval, embeddings and passage-level optimization. Go Fish Digital's list shows clients such as SAP, American Express, HSBC, Nordstrom, SanDisk and General Mills, with a team of 11 to 50 people. It is a good fit when your problem is site structure, not just content.

Good to know: Expect a technical, research-heavy style. It may be more than a small brand needs.

6. Go Fish Digital

Best for: Teams that want a data-first process they can audit.

Go Fish Digital combines information retrieval research, semantic analysis, content optimization, prompt mapping, technical SEO, authority building and AI visibility measurement. It publishes its own GEO research, which helps you judge how deeply it understands the field.

Good to know: Go Fish Digital ranks itself first on its own list, so read that list with that in mind.

7. Siege Media

Best for: Brands that win through high-quality content and data studies.

Siege Media is a content marketing agency. Thrive Internet Marketing's roundup describes its GEO outcomes as driven by content quality and editorial rigor. That matters because the Princeton research points to statistics, quotes and cited sources as top ways to earn AI visibility.

Good to know: Content-led work takes time to build. Ask for a realistic timeline.

8. Omniscient Digital

Best for: B2B software companies that want GEO connected to digital PR.

Omniscient Digital calls itself an organic growth agency for B2B software businesses. Its site lists GEO, digital PR, link building, technical SEO and analytics as services. Pairing GEO with digital PR is smart, because AI tools learn from mentions across the web, not only from your own pages.

Good to know: Its focus is B2B software, so it may not fit ecommerce or local brands.

9. WebFX

Best for: Mid-market brands that want a large team and steady execution.

WebFX is based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Clutch lists it with 250 to 999 employees and a minimum project size of $1,000 or more, with about 20% of its service focus on GEO. TripleDart describes it as strong at scalable GEO execution.

Good to know: With a big team, ask who your day-to-day contact will be.

10. NP Digital

Best for: Brands that need global reach and a large agency footprint.

NP Digital was co-founded by Neil Patel. Verbinden describes it as one of the largest GEO companies by global footprint and client count. It offers SEO services, paid media and content under one roof, which suits brands running many markets at once.

Good to know: Large agencies can move slower on custom requests. Ask how much GEO work is done by senior staff.

11. Ignite Visibility

Best for: Performance marketers who want technical audits for AI readiness.

Ignite Visibility is based in San Diego. TripleDart notes that it blends classic SEO with AI-audience work and focuses on technical audits for LLM readiness. Clutch lists the agency with 250 to 999 employees and an hourly range of $100 to $149.

Good to know: TripleDart shows a 3.5 out of 5 Trustpilot score for the agency, so read recent reviews before you sign.

12. Intero Digital

Best for: Companies with large content libraries that need fixing at scale.

Intero Digital shows up on several independent lists, including those from GenOptima and Digital Elevator, as a strong pick when you already have hundreds of pages to review and rework for AI answers. Its strength is cleaning up and organizing big sites instead of starting from zero.

Good to know: If your site is small, this scale may be more than you need.

What Do GEO Services Cost?

There is no standard price. Public numbers vary by agency size and style. Here is what we found:

  • First Page Sage lists GEO from $6,000 per month (Source: GenOptima ranking).
  • Ignite Visibility shows an hourly rate of $100 to $149 on Clutch.
  • WebFX shows a minimum project size of $1,000 or more on Clutch.
  • Traficxo is listed at $25 to $49 per hour on GoodFirms.

Prices move often, so treat these as signals and not quotes. When you ask for a proposal, make sure it states what is included: audit, content, schema, PR and reporting. A low price with no reporting is not a bargain.

How to Choose the Right GEO Agency?

Start with your goal: Do you want brand mentions, leads or sales? Pick the agency that has proof for that goal.

Ask which AI tools they track: At minimum, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

Ask to see real reports: You want to see citation and mention data over time, not only keyword rankings.

Check for SEO depth: GEO is built on SEO. A weak SEO base means weak GEO.

Look at the full plan: The best Growth Optimization plans link GEO, PPC services and creative. Ask how the agency would connect them.

Match size to budget: A 500 person agency and a 5 person agency work very differently. Neither is wrong, but one will suit you better.

Read third party reviews: Clutch, GoodFirms and Trustpilot show what clients say when the agency is not in the room.

Red Flags to Watch For

  1. Guaranteed citations or "#1 in ChatGPT" promises. No one controls AI answers.
  2. No reporting plan, or reports that only show Google rankings.
  3. Lists that rank the agency itself first without showing any method.
  4. Copy-and-paste content with no facts, sources or expert input. The Princeton study shows those are the things that help most.
  5. No clear owner for your account.

Questions to Ask on the First Call

  1. Which prompts will you track for us, and how will we agree on that list?
  2. Can you show a case study from a brand like ours?
  3. How will you measure success in the first 90 days?
  4. Who writes and reviews the content?
  5. How do SEO services, PPC services and Video Services fit into your GEO plan, if at all?
  6. What do you need from our team each month?

How to Measure GEO Results?

Do not judge GEO by clicks alone. Similarweb found AI platform visits grew fast while referral clicks stayed flat, so a pure traffic view will miss the story. Track these instead:

Share of citations: How often your brand or pages appear for your target prompts.

Brand mention rate: How often AI tools name you, even without a link.

Referral traffic from AI tools: Small today, but worth watching.

Branded search: More people searching your name is a good sign that AI answers are working.

Leads and sales: Ask your sales team how new buyers heard about you.

Conclusion:

GEO services are not a fad. Buyers are asking AI tools for advice, and AI tools are choosing which brands to mention. The agencies above all have a real GEO offer, but they fit different needs. Large B2B teams may lean toward Directive, iPullRank or First Page Sage. Content-heavy brands may like Siege Media or Intero Digital. If you want GEO, SEO services, PPC services and Video Services from one India-based team with a lower price point, start with Traficxo.

Whichever you pick, ask for proof, set clear tracking from day one and expect GEO to build on a strong SEO base.
